The Fairbanks Institute’s novel research platform is based on the integration of biological samples collected from the population of Indianapolis and other Indiana communities with extensive clinical, demographic, and epidemiological information gathered both retrospectively and prospectively from the community.
The Fairbanks Institute is conducting the Indiana Health Study to collect samples and information for the Institute’s research platform. The Fairbanks Institute is engaging Indiana community leaders to encourage the participation of minority groups in the Indiana Health Study to make the platform ethnically diverse and include populations that have been historically underrepresented in population-based research.
